関東では「アカイカ」と呼ばれ、ややこしい。

Though it looks like Spear squid as long and slender as sword,

but the difference is that the body is a little more round.

The texture is soft and strong delicious,

so this squid is popular like bigfin reef squid.

It is called, “Akaika” in Kanto area.

You have a chance to see all these different kinds of squid

in our facilities along Suruga Bay of Shizuoka prefecture

where it is well-renowned for beautiful Mt. Fuji.
